A young woman driving a car crashed into a utility pole near Pattaya, completely destroying the vehicle, but the driver escaped with only minor injuries. The driver claimed her car’s guardian spirit saved her life.
At 1:16 AM on December 19th, the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Center received a report of a serious car accident on a motorway heading towards Pattaya. Rescue teams immediately went to the scene, along with reporters from The Pattaya News.
Upon arrival, they found a white Honda Jazz whose driver had crashed into a roadside utility pole. The car was severely damaged, but the driver, who was trapped inside, was rescued with only very minor injuries. This surprised both the rescue team and nearby witnesses, as the car was completely wrecked.
The driver, 21-year-old Ms. Wipawan, told The Pattaya News that she didn’t wear any amulets but believed she survived the accident because she always prayed to her car’s guardian spirit before every journey. She admitted to often driving fast and blamed the accident on the lack of lights at the curve, which she said caused her to lose control and crash.
Police are investigating the incident but did not comment on if they believed a guardian spirit helped the young woman survive with nearly no injuries.
