Pattaya —
A Russian woman was robbed of valuables while walking her dog in a small Pattaya park early this morning.
At 5:30 AM on December 13th, Pattaya police received a report of a foreigner being robbed at a small park off of Jomtien Second Road in Pattaya near Na Jomtien. Authorities, along with the Sawang Boriboon Foundation and The Pattaya News reporters, quickly responded to the scene.
There, the victim, Ms. Kalishenko, a 33-year-old Russian national, was waiting to speak with the police. Through a translation app, she said she had been walking her dog at the park when two men on a motorbike approached her, snatched her bag, and fled. The stolen items included gold earrings, a condo key card, AirPods, 5,000 baht in cash, and various personal documents.
Mr. Weerawat, a 21-year-old security guard at the park, stated that while on duty, he noticed a scuffle nearby. He rode closer on his motorbike but was too late to intervene as the robbers escaped. He described the culprits as two Thai men riding an unidentified color Honda Wave motorbike. They fled towards Jomtien Second Road after the robbery.
Police are reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area to identify the suspects. The victim was directed to file a formal complaint at the Dongtan Police Substation.
