Woman on Phone Hit by Electric Motorcycle on Pattaya Beach Road

A woman crossing Pattaya Beach Road while on her phone was struck by an electric motorcycle, leaving three people injured.

At 12:10 AM on December 12th, Pattaya police received a report of a traffic accident on Pattaya Beach Road in Central Pattaya. Authorities immediately coordinated with the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan rescue volunteers before rushing to the scene.

There, a green electric motorcycle was found overturned and damaged in the middle of the road. Nearby, the injured driver, identified as Mr. Thongkham Phutthet, 37, was found with injuries including left arm pain and a cut lip. A female passenger, approximately 18 years old, had suffered minor abrasions on her body. The pedestrian involved, Ms. Wasana Nontasen, 40, sustained a head injury and left arm pain.

Rescue workers provided first aid to all injured parties before transporting them to a nearby hospital.

Mr. Thongkham, the electric motorcycle driver, stated that he was transporting a passenger along the beach road when the pedestrian, who was on a phone, suddenly stepped onto the street and cut directly in front of his vehicle.

Police are currently investigating the incident.
