A garland seller dressed as Santa Claus is spreading holiday cheer under a motorway overpass in Pattaya.
At 12:30 PM on December 12th, The Pattaya News reporters spotted a man dressed as Santa Claus selling garlands to vehicles stopped at a red light under the motorway overpass on Sukhumvit Road in Pattaya. The man drew significant attention from tourists and drivers.
The man in question, Mr. Kritsada Boonsopa, 37, later interviewed with The Pattaya News, saying he is a garland seller, and since Christmas and New Year are approaching, he wanted to bring some holiday cheer to visitors.
Mr. Kritsada also revealed that he faced a drop in sales recently and decided to wear a Santa costume to catch the attention of road users. The move has surprisingly boosted his sales. He has been dressing as Santa for two days and plans to continue until the New Year. He also plans to adapt his costume for other festivals in the future.
Currently, Mr. Kritsada sells garlands only two days a week during his free time. He encourages anyone driving by to support Santa selling garlands.
