Forty People Tested Positive for Illegal Drugs in Pattaya Raid

Pattaya –

Forty drug users were tested positive with illegal drugs in a Pattaya raid on Tuesday (December 10th).

More than 50 police officers from the Region 2 Police raided Soi Jomtien 2 and Soi Jomtien 3 in the Pattaya area. The raid followed after police received complaints from concerned citizens that many drug users were gathering in the area.

Officers found those users were enjoying illegal drugs. Forty of them tested positive on urine tests for illegal drugs. Police also seized a total of 40 methamphetamine pills and five grams of crystal methamphetamine. They were taken to the Pattaya City Police Station for further legal actions.

The Pattaya Police Chief Colonel Nawin Teerawit told the Pattaya News that they are continuing to crackdown on illegal drugs. This isn’t the first crackdown in this area, as another major raid took place in June as we reported here.
