Sanctuary of Truth in Pattaya Holds Five-Religion Ceremony to Honor The Great King Bhumibol

Pattaya —

The Sanctuary of Truth in Pattaya, in collaboration with public and private organizations, held a five-religion merit-making ceremony titled Forever in Our Hearts, in remembrance of the boundless kindness of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great.

On December 9th, at the Sanctuary of Truth Museum in Pattaya, Mr. Picharn and Mrs. Warakorn Viriyapant, executives of Ancient City Company Limited, led the public in a merit-making ceremony to offer dry food and rice to 100 monks and 400 novices to honor the late King Bhumibol.

Then, Mrs. Warakorn Viriyapant, Deputy CEO of the company, presided over the candle-lighting ceremony, which was attended by several religious representatives of Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, Brahman-Hinduism, and Sikhism.

Mrs. Warakorn explained to the media that the five-religion ceremony represented their gratitude and loyalty to the Thai monarchy and also aimed to remember King Bhumibol’s tireless dedication to his people.

His Majesty supported all religions equally, which helped uphold unity among people of all faiths in Thailand. Despite cultural and religious diversity, Thai citizens have lived together peacefully under the King’s benevolent reign.

The ceremony also included a pledge for attendees to live as good citizens, as inspired by the King’s teachings.
