Motorcycle Crash in Pattaya Leaves One Person Dead, One Injured

A motorcycle collision in Pattaya early on December 9th left one person dead and another injured.

At 1:06 AM on December 9th, the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Center was notified of a serious motorcycle collision on Chalerm Phra Kiat 3 Road, at the entrance of Soi Chalerm Phra Kiat 29 in Pattaya. Upon receiving the report, rescue volunteers and Pattaya police immediately rushed to the scene, along with reporters from The Pattaya News.

At the scene, a red and black Honda Wave 100 motorcycle was found damaged on the left side of the road. The rider, 22-year-old Mr. Thanarak Noipim, was found in the middle of the street. He was moderately injured.

Nearby, a black Honda Scoopy motorcycle was found, with the rider, an unidentified man around 25 to 30 years old, lying in a pool of blood on the road. Rescue workers provided first aid before quickly transporting him to the hospital, but he later succumbed to his injuries.

Mr. Thanarak, the driver of the first motorcycle, told The Pattaya News that he was waiting to cross the road into a soi when the other motorcycle rider came straight ahead and crashed into him. The impact caused both riders to be thrown in different directions. After the accident, Mr. Thanarak immediately called rescue workers.

Pattaya police are reviewing CCTV footage to determine the exact cause of the accident. The body of the deceased was transferred to Banglamung Hospital for safekeeping until his family members came to collect for religious funeral rites.
