A British man has been arrested at a condominium in Pattaya for allegedly sexually abusing his 6-year-old stepdaughter and sharing the video on social media.
The arrest was carried out by Thai police from the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Division on December 4th, 2024, at a condo in Pattaya’s Naklua area. The suspect, identified initially by authorities only as Mr. Luke, a British national, was arrested under a warrant issued by the Criminal Court on December 2nd, 2024, on charges of rape, sexual assault of a minor under 13-years-old, and indecent acts against a child under 13.
The arrest followed a request from the United Kingdom’s National Crime Agency (NCA), who, after finding a video of an alleged sexual assault against a young Thai child posted on Mr. Luke’s social media account, asked Thai authorities to investigate the matter.
Thai police managed to locate the child by analyzing the surroundings in the video and discovered that she is the daughter of a Thai woman who had been the suspect’s girlfriend for two years. The child is currently seven years old and was only six at the time of the horrific incident.
The child’s mother was shocked when authorities showed her the footage. However, the suspect has denied all allegations and stated that he will only testify in court and has refused to speak with police.
An investigation is ongoing as of press time. The suspect remains in police custody and is reportedly obtaining the services of an attorney at law.
