Police Hunting for Gold Shop Snatcher in Pattaya Area

Chonburi – Police are on the lookout for a suspect who fled with a gold ring worth 45,000 Baht from a shop in Pattaya.

The incident occurred on Sunday, December 1st, at a gold shop in front of the Tuk Com IT Mall in South Pattaya. Pattaya City Police Chief Colonel Nawin Teerawit informed the Pattaya News that the suspect had entered the shop, asked to see a gold ring valued at 45,000 Baht, and snatched it within three minutes before fleeing the scene.

Police immediately launched a search for the suspect and spotted him as a passenger on a motorbike. When officers ordered the rider to stop, the suspect jumped off the motorbike and ran into a nearby forest about 700 meters from the gold shop.

Despite surrounding the area and an eight-hour search through the night, police and rescue teams were unable to locate the suspect. Authorities have identified the suspect but are withholding further details pending the ongoing investigation.
