Pattaya – An Italian national was caught on camera stealing 4,000 Baht from an unattended front desk at a small hotel while checking out early on Sunday morning.
According to the police, the guest, identified only as Andrea, checked into the hotel on Friday in Soi Bua Khao, South Pattaya, and checked out on Sunday morning.
Darinraya Kongsook, the 36-year-old owner of the apartment, stated that a security camera recorded the guest approaching the front desk early in the morning when no staff were present. “The guest pretended to press the reception bell, then walked behind the desk and searched for valuables. He took 4,000 Baht from a pink bag on the desk, returned the room key, and fled,” Ms. Darinraya explained.
Police are currently investigating the incident and seeking further information regarding the suspect’s whereabouts.
