Sattahip —
A Thai truck driver clipped a car and overturned his vehicle on Sukhumvit Road in Sattahip.
At 10:25 AM on November 29th, the Sawang Rojonthammasathit Foundation was notified of a six-wheel truck overturning near the U-turn bridge on Sukhumvit Road, heading into Pattaya, in the Sattahip district. The rescue team quickly responded to the scene.
Upon arrival, they found a white Hino six-wheel truck overturned on its side in the middle of the road, with soil scattered across the street. The driver, 49-year-old Mr. Kittisak, was standing by the truck and was unharmed. A nearby white Toyota Yaris sustained minor rear-end damage. The driver, 41-year-old Ms. Thanaporn, was uninjured.
Mr. Kittisak, the truck driver, claimed to Sattahip police that while driving on Sukhumvit Road, he slowed down as the car ahead of him reduced speed due to a motorcycle with a sidecar in front of it. He alleged he already attempted to brake but failed and ended up clipping the car’s rear. This caused his truck to lose control, hit the bridge railing, and overturn.
Ms. Thanaporn, the car driver, said she was driving normally when a motorcycle with a sidecar cut in front of her, prompting her to slow down. Shortly afterward, she heard a loud noise and felt a collision at the rear of her car. She saw the six-wheel truck had struck her car before overturning. She immediately called the rescue team.
Sattahip police plan to interview both parties involved for possible legal proceedings.
