A Thai woman was stabbed in the neck allegedly by a foreign man at a building in Jomtien yesterday, November 28th. The suspect is still on the run as of press time.
At 4:06 PM, Pattaya police received a report of an assault at a building in Soi Welcome in Jomtien, Pattaya. Upon receiving the report, police officers and rescue volunteers immediately went to the scene, along with reporters from The Pattaya News.
There, authorities cordoned off the area on the building’s 4th floor to keep unrelated individuals away. The victim, a Thai woman aged between 30 and 40, whose name and identity remain unknown, had sustained a severe stab wound on her neck and was bleeding heavily. She was rushed to a local hospital by rescue workers.
The suspect had fled the scene before authorities arrived. Neighbors at the scene told The Pattaya News that they heard the victim’s cries for help but were unaware of what had happened. They then noticed a man of unknown nationality running out of the building after the incident and promptly reported the matter to the authorities.
Pattaya police are reviewing CCTV footage to track down the suspect. The exact motive behind the attack will be determined after the victim’s condition improves and she is able to provide her testimony.
