Pattaya —
Pattaya City is set to widen the Sawang Fah–Naklua intersection to ease bus traffic and reduce congestion.
On November 27th, Pattaya City Council President, Mr. Banlue Kulawanit, along with council members and other relevant officials, conducted a site inspection at the Sawang Fah–Nakluea intersection. The visit followed several complaints from residents, which asked the city to solve traffic congestion in the area caused by buses struggling to turn due to narrow road corners.
Mr. Banlue stated that residents had reported severe traffic jams during rush hours at this intersection. The issue stems from vehicles needing to slow down while large busses navigate the tight corner leading to Nakluea Market Road. This situation causes backups, affecting other vehicles and causing congestion in the area.
To fix the issue, the city plans to widen the intersection by modifying the sidewalks. The adjustments will provide a smoother turning angle for large buses and improve overall traffic flow in the area.
