Pattaya City and Soi Dog Foundation are teaming up to sterilize 400 dogs on Koh Larn with a goal to control the stray population and prevent rabies.
On Koh Larn, Pattaya City, in collaboration with the Soi Dog Foundation Thailand, organized a spaying and neutering program as part of the “Community Dogs Project.” The initiative aims to control the stray dog population on Koh Larn and in Pattaya City, while also preventing the spread of rabies to reduce the risk of people getting illness caused by stray dogs.
Deputy Mayor of Pattaya Mr. Manoch Nongyai visited the site to support the Soi Dog Foundation team and other participants in providing free spaying and neutering services for both owned and stray dogs on Koh Larn.
The program, which began since November 18th, will run until December 1st, 2024. All services are provided free of charge. Once spayed or neutered, the dogs will be released back into the community. The goal is to sterilize a total of 400 dogs on Koh Larn during this campaign.
