Pattaya —
A Myanmar motorcyclist suffered injuries after being rear-ended by a car on a poorly lit highway in Pattaya.
At 12:56 AM on November 25th, the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Center received a report of a collision between a car and a motorcycle on Highway 331 in the Khao Mai Kaew area in Pattaya. Rescue volunteers immediately went to the scene, along with reporters from The Pattaya News.
The accident occurred on a poorly lit section of the road. A black Honda City sedan, driven by Mr. Kittipan Mangkawang, 32, was found with front-end damage. A severely damaged Honda Wave 125 motorcycle was lodged in the car’s front. The motorcyclist, identified only as Mr. Rin, a 38-year-old Myanmar national, suffered moderate injuries, including abrasions and a visibly broken left arm. Rescue workers provided first aid before rushing him to the hospital.
Mr. Kittipan explained that he had been driving along the dark road and did not see the motorcycle until it was too late to avoid a collision. After realizing an accident had occurred, he immediately called rescue services for assistance.
Mr. Kittipan stated that the lack of proper lighting on the road caused the accident. He urged relevant authorities to improve street lighting in the area to prevent accidents like this in the future.
