Intoxicated Woman Found Asleep in Car, Parked in the Middle of Pattaya Road

Pattaya —

An intoxicated Thai woman was found asleep in her car parked in the middle of a road in Pattaya Tuesday morning, November 26th.

At 9:30 AM, traffic police from the Pattaya Police Station, along with rescue workers from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation, responded to a report of a car obstructing traffic in the middle of South Pattaya Road, about 20 meters before the Sai Sam intersection.

At the scene, officers found a white Toyota sedan parked with its engine running and the driver’s window down. Inside, a woman was found asleep at the wheel. It took officials approximately 30 minutes to wake her, and upon regaining consciousness, she reportedly became agitated. After some talk, she eventually exited the vehicle.

Inside the car, authorities discovered an opened beer bottle, though it appeared untouched. Witnesses reported seeing two men, who seemed to be the women’s friends, arrive on a motorcycle early in the morning. The men parked behind the car, adjusted the driver’s seat to allow the woman to lie down, and left the scene.

The woman was taken to the Pattaya Police Station to sober up. Authorities are now reviewing the situation to determine the appropriate legal actions.
