Former Thai Police Officer Arrested in Pattaya on Multiple Warrants

Pattaya —

A former Thai police officer wanted on two warrants was caught in Pattaya while strolling on Walking Street.

On November 23rd, 2024, Pattaya Tourist Police arrested Mr. Adisorn Tummato, a 47-year-old former police officer, on Walking Street in South Pattaya. Mr. Adisorn was wanted under two arrest warrants issued by the Samut Prakan Provincial Court for serious charges, including illegal detention of individuals, firearm possession, assault, misconduct, and extortion.

The arrest was conducted by Tourist Police Division 1, led by Pol. Lt. Col. Piyapong Ensan. Officers were patrolling Walking Street when they came across Mr. Adisorn and confirmed his identity through the Central Investigation Bureau’s database. Mr. Adisorn reportedly admitted to being the individual named in the warrants and was taken into custody.

Mr. Adisorn previously served as a crime prevention officer at the Bang Pu Police Station in Samut Prakan province but was dismissed after a viral video in July 2024 showed him allegedly ramming a pickup truck into another vehicle, climbing onto the car’s roof, and smashing it.

The incident led to legal action and disciplinary proceedings against him. He also faced other allegations in cases handled by the Bang Phli and Khlong Dan Police Stations, resulting in the warrants that led to his arrest. He was handed over to Bang Phli Police Station for further legal action.
