Pattaya – A 36-year-old Indian national, Mr. Sunil, was arrested after firing a blank gun into the sky, causing panic among locals in a residential area of Soi Kopai 4/1 in Pattaya.

At 11:36 PM on November 20th, 2024, R.T.T. Chittisuk Suthinitaswong, Deputy Chief of the Pattaya City Police Station, received a report of the incident and led a team of police officers to investigate. Upon arrival, they found Mr. Sunil intoxicated. A search revealed a blank gun with 22 rounds of ammunition, which was seized as evidence. The gun was found to be unmodified.

Mr. Sunil explained that he had purchased the gun from a dealer and was unaware that it was illegal to carry or fire it for fun. He admitted that he had been drinking with friends and, on a dare, fired the gun into the sky without considering the alarm it would cause among local residents.

Mr. Sunil was taken into custody along with the blank gun and ammunition. He was transported to Pattaya City Police Station for questioning and will face legal action
