Pattaya, Thailand – Early Thursday morning, November 14th, 2024, an altercation on Pattaya Beach turned violent when a local man assaulted his friend with a beer bottle, resulting in a serious head injury. The incident was reported to the Pattaya City Police around 1:00 AM where emergency services and The Pattaya News quickly responded.
The victim, identified only as Mr. Blue, an 18-year-old resident of Buriram, was found with significant head injuries, bleeding profusely from the face. Nearby, a broken beer bottle lay on the ground, a clear indicator of the weapon used in the attack. His friend, Mr. Jack, also from Buriram, remained at the scene.
According to Mr. Blue, the two friends share a history of playful banter. However, during this particular encounter, the playful interaction took an unexpected turn. Mr. Blue recounted that while they were engaging in their usual antics, Mr. Jack, under the influence of alcohol, reacted with anger when Mr. Blue touched his genitals. This led to Mr. Jack hitting Mr. Blue over the head with a beer bottle.
Mr. Jack, when questioned by the police, admitted his actions were driven by a sudden surge of anger and embarrassment from the incident. Despite the assault, Mr. Blue chose not to press charges against his friend, indicating the complexity of their relationship and the influence of alcohol in the situation.
The police have detained Mr. Jack for further questioning, emphasizing the need for caution with alcohol consumption.
