Pattaya —

A violent brawl recently erupted on Pattaya Beach as multiple Indian men assaulted each other, injuring two innocent women who were caught in the flurry of fists.

On November 13th, Mr. Anirut Khongsap, a Thai lawyer, accompanied three victims in the incident to the Pattaya Police Station to follow up on the progress of a case involving multiple Indian men assaulting them on Pattaya Beach.

The victims were injured during the altercation. Mr. Anirut provided surveillance footage of the incident to the police as evidence and urged authorities to take action against all the perpetrators.

One of the victims, Mr. Dio, a 46-year-old Indian national and president of the Chonburi Indian Association, explained to local media that three Indian groups in Pattaya had organized a Diwali festival from November 8th to 10th at Central Pattaya Beach for the local Indian community and tourists. The event was well-received, with attendees from various nationalities.

However, on the last night of the festival, while Mr. Dio and his team were packing up equipment at the event tents, a group of Indian men surrounded them. They began assaulting Mr. Dio and hit him several times in the face. The assailants also tried to rally more people to continue the violent attack in the presence of the police who arrived to stop the altercation.

During the brawl, an influencer named Ms. Chanita, who was just attending the event, was caught in the brawl and collapsed onto the pavement. She tearfully recounted the incident, stating that she didn’t know who the attackers were, but was suddenly assaulted. Mr. Dio tried to defend her, but was also struck in the face and stomach.

Another witness, 43-year-old Ms. Nattamon, was present during the attack. She saw Mr. Dio being assaulted and tried to save him, but the attackers, including men and women, suddenly punched her. She was struck in the jaw, near her ear, and on the lip, causing her to bleed.

Lawyer Anirut stated that the three victims filed a police report and went for medical checks. They returned today after being summoned by the police, but none of the accused showed up for questioning. Mr. Anirut stated the assault was a blatant disregard for the law and called for police to take immediate action.

The motive behind the attack is under investigation by Pattaya Police.
