Pattaya —
At 6:00 PM on November 8th, 2024, Banglamung police arrested a tattoo artist in possession of 100 grams of ketamine at a tattoo shop in the Banglamung district.
The operation followed a tip-off that a ketamine delivery was planned at the shop, intended for distribution in Pattaya’s nightlife venues.
Banglamung police set up surveillance and, upon observing a suspicious man matching the provided description, conducted a search. Officers found a plastic zip-lock bag containing the ketamine hidden on him.
The suspect, publicly identified only as Mr. Anusorn, 23, admitted to selling ketamine for nearly seven months, stating he turned to dealing due to financial difficulties as a single father and tattoo artist.
He purchased the drug from an agent, identified only as “Bow,” for 13,000 baht per 100 grams, reselling it for 16,000 baht.
According to the police, Anusorn, an avid rapper, even composed a song for the arresting officers during questioning, claiming he had previously written music for well-known artists in Chonburi.
Police charged him with unauthorized distribution of a Category 2 narcotic (ketamine), and he will face legal proceedings accordingly.
