Pattaya Mayor Mr. Poramase Ngampichet received the prestigious “Political News” award at the 2024 Thailand Headlines Person of the Year Awards, which celebrates individuals who have made significant contributions to Thai-Chinese relations.
On November 7th, Mr. Poramase received the award at the IMPACT Forum Hall in Muang Thong Thani during the Thailand Headlines Person of the Year Awards 2024. The event highlighted Thailand’s soft power and the upcoming 50th anniversary of Thai-Chinese diplomatic relations in 2025.
The awards ceremony, themed “Golden Dragon Year, A Thousand Stars Shining in Siam,” recognizes individuals who have significantly contributed to Thailand’s reputation, particularly those who play a role in strengthening Thai-Chinese relations. The award categories include Political News, Thai-Chinese Relations, Economy and Society, Culture and Entertainment, and The Most Influential Person of the Year.
This year’s ceremony was attended by over 1,000 prominent figures and celebrities from politics, business, culture, entertainment, and sports from Thailand, China, and South Korea. The event also featured red carpet appearances, special performances by Thai artists 4EVE and Bowkylion, and a surprise performance by a team from Hunan Television, China.
