Moo Deng, the famous pygmy hippo from Khao Kheow Open Zoo near Pattaya, has received the prestigious “Video of the Year” award at the TikTok Awards Thailand event.
Previously, Moo Deng’s caretaker, Mr. Atthapon “Benz” Nundee, had shared on the “Kha Moo and the Gang” Facebook page that he had been invited to the event but initially couldn’t attend due to his responsibilities of cleaning the hippo’s enclosure. The post attracted numerous comments from fans suggesting solutions.
After a unanimous decision, the team announced that the Director of Khao Kheow Zoo, Mr. Narongwit Chodchoi, would take over the cleaning duties to allow Mr. Atthapon to attend the award ceremony on November 2nd. The page then humorously shared a photo of the director himself cleaning the enclosure, with Moo Deng posing proudly beside him.
Fans celebrated Moo Deng’s achievement, with many commenting on the heartwarming moment.
