Pattaya —
Authorities conducted inspections of entertainment venues in Pattaya to protect tourists and prevent crime during recent Halloween celebrations.
The inspections were carried out at 1:36 AM on November 1st, led by Mr. Pornchai Sangyad, the Permanent Secretary of Banglamung District. The operation targeted crowded night places around Pattaya, especially those holding Halloween activities, to prevent all forms of crime and ensure the safety of tourists during the spooky festival.
The authorities divided into teams to patrol and inspect these venues, focusing on strict enforcement regarding drug use, carrying of weapons, and the entry of minors under 20 years of age into these establishments.
During the checks, they found many tourists enjoying the festive Halloween parties, with each venue decorated and hosting various activities. Officials checked ID cards of random patrons, tested them for illegal substances, and searched for weapons, but no illegal items were found.
Mr. Pornchai stated that the entertainment venues and tourists cooperated well during the inspections. After the checks were completed, the tourists also allegedly applauded the officials for their efforts in keeping everyone safe.
