At 10:00 PM on November 1st, 2024, a pickup truck overturned on Highway 7 near the Pattaya entrance, coming to a halt perilously close to the edge of a 5-meter-high overpass.
The silver pickup, driven by 60-year-old Khajonsak Suksanit, was heavily damaged. Fortunately, Khajonsak was unharmed, while his 14-year-old son sustained only minor injuries from the impact.
Khajonsak reported that he allegedly swerved to avoid a sedan that cut in front of him, causing him to lose control and overturn. Bystanders, who rushed to help, described seeing the pickup flip and skid dangerously close to the overpass edge.
Fortunately, the vehicle did not fall, and nearby residents assisted in notifying local authorities.
Dashcam footage captured the moments leading up to the accident, showing the truck veering slightly into the sedan’s lane before the sudden swerve. The footage has been submitted to investigators as evidence for further legal proceedings, according to the authorities.
