Man Files Police Report After Security Guard Allegedly Threatens Him with Knife in Pattaya

Pattaya —

A man in Pattaya filed a police report after a security guard allegedly threatened him with a knife during a parking dispute at a condominium near Jomtien Beach.

The frightening incident took place at an unidentified condominium on Soi 17 near Jomtien Beach. 46-year-old Mr. Ek (alias), and his 49-year-old girlfriend, Ms. Am (alias), filed a police report with Pattaya police to press charges against Mr. Preecha (last name withheld by police), a security guard at the condominium, after Mr. Preecha allegedly threatened Mr. Ek with a knife over a parking dispute.

According to Mr. Ek, on the morning of October 30th, while dropping off his girlfriend at the condominium, he found the entrance blocked by a parked car. He then asked the security guard, Mr. Preecha, to help move the vehicle, but the guard became angry, allegedly verbally abused him with harsh language, and challenged him to get out of his car.

Mr. Preecha then allegedly pulled out a knife to threaten Mr. Ek, leading to a heated argument that lasted several minutes. Fortunately, both parties eventually went their separate ways.

Mr. Ek further claimed that the same security guard had previously stabbed a delivery worker, which prompted him to file a police report to prevent any further violent incidents.

Pattaya police are investigating the matter and promised that they will handle the case fairly for both parties.
