Burmese Driver Overturns Car Near Pattaya After Allegedly Avoiding Street Dog

Pattaya —

A Burmese man claimed he accidentally overturned his car near Pattaya to avoid a street dog running across the road.

At 11:16 PM on October 27th, the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Center received a report of a car accident in the Khao Mai Kaew area near Pattaya. Rescue volunteers and local police immediately went to the scene.

Upon arrival, they found a bronze-gold Nissan Frontier pickup truck overturned and blocking the road, severely damaged. The driver, 31-year-old Burmese national Mr. Myo Min Ang, was unharmed and waiting to speak with authorities. A streetlight had also been knocked down by the car.

Mr. Myo claimed that he was driving from Nikhom Phatthana in Rayong province toward Khao Mai Kaew when a street dog suddenly ran across the road. He swerved to avoid the animal, causing him to lose control of the vehicle, which overturned and collided with the streetlight. Fortunately, he was not injured in the accident.

Local police are investigating the incident.
