Pattaya —
Pattaya City is making good progress on the Bali Hai Pier walkway roof project, with 75% of it completed and full completion expected by the end of November, say relevant city officials.
A Deputy Mayor of Pattaya, Mr. Manoch Nongyai, along with Mr. Chinnakorn Kradangnga, Director of Pattaya City’s Engineering and Construction Department, recently visited Bali Hai Pier to inspect the progress of the roof installation project along the pier’s walkway. This project aims to protect tourists who want to travel to Koh Larn and other islands and water attractions from the sun and rain.
Following the inspection, Mr. Manoch revealed that the roof installation is now over 75% complete. Workers are currently able to install 10-15 meters of roof and ceiling per day. With around 310-meters of the walkway left to be covered, the project is expected to be fully completed by the end of November 2024, Mr. Manoch said.
The deputy mayor went on to say that the new roof will be a New Year’s gift for the residents of Koh Larn and tourists. Once the roof is finished, Pattaya City will move on to improving Bali Hai Pier further by renovating the pier, pontoons, and walkway. Additionally, the city also plans to install more lighting and CCTV cameras along the pier.
