Police Patrol Pattaya Beach to Crack Down on Illegal Vendors After Knife Attack on Official

Pattaya —

A large team of fully equipped law enforcement officers patrolled Pattaya Beach last night, October 20th, to prevent illegal activities following an incident where a beach chair vendor attempted to attack a city official with a knife.

The inspection was carried out after a beach chair vendor pulled a knife and attempted to attack a city official after he was warned about illegally selling alcohol and kratom juice on the beach.

The operation was led by Banglamung District Chief Mr. Weekit Manarotkit and Pattaya Police Chief Pol. Col. Navin Theerawit. The operation aimed to prevent any illegal activities and protect beachgoers who visit the beach at night.

Officers carried out random inspections of tourists and individuals to deter them from exploiting public areas, such as those renting out mats or selling alcohol and kratom juice illegally. No offenders were found during this patrol. Authorities also urged tourists to report any illegal activities to nearby officials for immediate investigation and arrest.

Banglamung District Chief Mr. Weekit said this patrol was conducted to maintain Pattaya’s positive image ahead of the upcoming high season. Authorities also plan to intensify patrols during this period.
