Pattaya City Officials Discusses Better Traffic Management for Na Kluea Market Area

Naklua, Pattaya-

On October 16th, 2024, at Pattaya City Hall, the Committee on Administration and Peacekeeping convened under the chairmanship of Mr. Anupong Phutthanawarat to deliberate on the traffic management for the Na Kluea Market areas. The meeting focused on the implementation of one-way traffic systems, parking regulations on even and odd days, and new traffic signage for both the New and Old Na Kluea Markets.

The committee plans to engage the market community by seeking their opinions on these proposed changes, especially in the New Market Na Kluea area, where two-way traffic has led to congestion. Pol. Lt. Col. Jakkrit Chantakam from Banglamung Police Station suggested organizing the New Market area, Sawang Fa Road, and Soi Banglamung Hospital as one-way streets to facilitate emergency vehicle access.

Traffic police will begin issuing fines for parking violations on odd and even days, particularly around Soi Banglamung Hospital. The committee intends to survey public opinion before finalizing the traffic management plan to ensure smooth traffic flow without congestion.

As we previously posted, the market is also set for some major improvements in the near future.
