Pattaya City-
Mr. Poramese Ngampiches, Mayor of Pattaya City, recently chaired a meeting of the Pattaya Change Agent (PCA) group, attended by Mr. Kiatsak Sriwongchai, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Pattaya City, and Dr. Siwat Boonkerd, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Pattaya City. The meeting aimed to explore future projects to expand operations and enhance cooperation in sustainable community development.
Ms. Nathamon Ajsong, President of the Pattaya City Change Leaders Group, outlined the PCA group’s plans to work with various network partners, particularly addressing the issue of homelessness. Agencies will screen homeless individuals into groups for treatment, such as those with mental illness or infectious diseases.
The group has also partnered with the Health District Committee for the People (KhP) Area 6 to screen the mental health of children aged 15 and over, starting with Pattaya City as a model for a nationwide policy in 2025.
For the 2025 PCA activity calendar, the “Music in the Park” project remains a key initiative, originally targeting the local Pattaya community but now expanded to include foreign tourists. Pattaya City will promote these activities through the “Straight Line to the Mayor of Pattaya City” and “PRPATTAYA” Facebook pages.
Dr. Panthakan, Vice Chairman of the Pattaya City Change Leaders Group, explained that the PCA group supports Pattaya City’s missions by developing social innovations and projects like “Music in the Park.” The goal is to drive social development and create a better Pattaya through community involvement and innovative solutions.
