Thai Man Assaulted by Security Guards and Tourists at Sattahip Pub After Misunderstanding

Sattahip —

A Thai man claimed that he was beaten unconscious by security guards and tourists outside an entertainment venue in Sattahip after an argument with his girlfriend.

Mr. Peeraphat, 30, along with his girlfriend Ms. Maneeya, 28, reported to The Pattaya News that they were assaulted by several security guards and men at a parking lot in front of an entertainment venue in Sattahip district, Chonburi province.

The incident occurred at around 3:00 AM on October 14th. Mr. Peeraphat has already filed a report with the Sattahip police, but he is concerned that he will not receive justice, so he decided to bring the case to the media.

Mr. Peeraphat explained that he and his girlfriend were at the entertainment venue when they had a brief argument at around 3:00 AM. The venue was still open with loud music, so they stepped outside to talk in the parking lot and were about to head home.

However, during the conversation, things escalated. This began to attract the attention of nearby tourists who suddenly attacked Mr. Peeraphat. 4-5 of the venue’s security guards then joined in beating Mr. Peeraphat, causing him to lose consciousness.

Mr. Peeraphat revealed that he could not remember anything and only regained consciousness when a rescue team was transporting him to Queen Sirikit Hospital. The medical report indicated that Mr. Peeraphat had been physically assaulted, suffered head trauma, and had a laceration on his mouth.

The Sattahip police are currently gathering evidence from the scene and plan to interview witnesses, the venue owner, the manager, and the security guards involved to pursue legal action.
