Pattaya —

Heavy rain pounded Pattaya for one hour on Monday, causing significant flooding in several areas.

The rain started about 2:00 PM on October 14th, resulting in flooding at areas prone to regular flooding, such as Soi Khao Talo, Soi Khao Noi, the road along the railway, and the road in South Pattaya. Authorities quickly set up barricades in these areas and advised the public to take alternative routes for safety.

Floodwaters ranged from 30 to 80 centimeters in height. In some areas, the water was so deep that small vehicles were unable to pass the road.

After the rain subsided, officials worked to pump water out of the flooded areas to restore normal traffic flow.
