Pattaya —

Banglamung police arrested two Thai men with 2.7 kilograms of drugs after a tip-off from concerned citizens about a planned delivery to local pool villa parties.

At 11:00 PM on October 13th, Banglamung police successfully arrested two suspects, including Mr. Aree Watanasuksawat, 29, and Mr. Supap Phahonpaet, 29, on suspicions that they were planning to deliver a large amount of illegal drugs to pool villa parties in the Banglamung area. Police seized drugs including 990 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 1,770 grams of ketamine, totaling 2.76 kilograms.

The officers set up a stakeout at a rental room and waited for the targets to arrive. Upon confirming the targets, the officers moved in and arrested both suspects. The drugs were found hidden in a black bag.

During questioning, the two suspects claimed they were hired to deliver the drugs by a man named “Per” for 70,000 baht per person. They alleged that the drugs belonged to Per, but they claimed they didn’t know his real name or surname or how to reach him.

Initially, the police charged the two suspects with possession of Category 1 drugs with intent to distribute. The suspects and evidence were handed over to investigators for further legal proceedings.
