Pattaya Tourist Police ramped up preparations to ensure the safety of tourists during Thailand’s upcoming high season.
On October 9th, 2024, Pol. Col. Man Rothong, Commander of Division 2 of Tourist Police held a meeting to provide guidance to the tourist police. The police were instructed to do as follows:
- Prepare for a significant increase in foreign tourists, ensure their safety, and build trust among tourists.
- Accelerate the arrest of individuals committing crimes of all types, especially illegal tours and guides.
- Strictly follow the law and do not engage in any form of corrupt practices.
- Fully dedicate themselves to their duties in caring for tourists.
