Between August 16th and October 7th, 2024, Thailand’s Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) reported extensive flooding across 44 provinces, affecting 240,857 households. The floods resulted in 52 deaths and 28 injuries.
The provinces hit hardest included Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Mae Hong Son, and Ubon Ratchathani, with 267 districts and 5,973 villages impacted.
Currently, 23 provinces remain under flood conditions, affecting 66,752 households, including key areas like Nakhon Sawan, Phitsanulok, and Udon Thani.

In response, DDPM has deployed emergency teams and equipment, including helicopters, long-range water pumps, rescue vehicles, and boats. Specialized vehicles, such as high-powered excavators and cranes, are working to clear debris and repair infrastructure. Officials are focusing on restoring roads and homes in areas where floodwaters have receded.
