Pattaya —
A speeding car crashed into a solar panel store in Pattaya, injuring two people early yesterday morning. The driver claimed the accident was caused by his unfamiliarity with the road.
At 3:06 AM on October 2nd, Nongprue police received a report of a car crashing into a store at the intersection of Jomtien Second Road in the Nongprue sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province. After receiving the report, police coordinated with rescue workers before rushing to the scene, along with reporters from The Pattaya News.
There, officers found a black Subaru sedan, which had lost control and rammed into a solar panel store. The storefront’s glass was shattered, and the car was heavily damaged inside the shop.
Two people were injured, including Mr. Katiphot, a 38-year-old driver of the Subaru, and Mr. Piyaboot, 42, who sustained minor injuries. Rescue workers provided first aid before transporting them to the hospital. Later, a third person, Mr. Thosaphon, 40, showed up and claimed to be another driver involved.
CCTV cameras from the area captured the accident, showing the vehicle speeding before losing control and crashing into the store.
According to Nongprue police, the Subaru driver claimed that he was unfamiliar with the road, which resulted in the accident. However, they plan to conduct a blood alcohol test on the driver to determine the exact cause of the accident.
