Seven Banglamung police officers were honored by the Chonburi provincial police chief for quickly arresting a robbery suspect who robbed from a Russian woman in Pattaya last month.
On October 1st, seven officers from the Banglamung Police Station in Chonburi province were honored with certificates of recognition by Pol. Maj. Gen. Thawatchakiat Jindakwansong, Commander of Chonburi Provincial Police, for their exceptional investigative work.
These officers included:
- Pol. Lt. Col. Kornpong Sukwisit
- Pol. Capt. Wutthiphong Kasa,
- Pol. Lt. Saman Boonkaew,
- Pol. Sgt. Suthipat Thasanor
- Pol. Sgt. Panuwut Buthsuan,
- Pol. Sgt. Siam Boonyaniwat
- Pol. Sgt. Patipan Muenhawong
The officers were praised for their outstanding performance in the case involving a Russian tourist who was mugged of her mobile phone by a Thai man on Pattaya Beach at the beginning of September 2024.
Within a few hours of the incident, the investigative team tracked down the suspect, apprehended him at his residence, and retrieved the stolen phone for the tourist. The swift action left the Russian victim highly impressed, and she expressed her gratitude to the police for their quick action.
Pol. Capt. Wutthiphong, the head of the investigative team, extended his thanks to the police chief for recognizing their work. He added that this recognition would motivate his team to continue serving and protecting the public with dedication.
