Intoxicated Motorbike Rider Injured After Falling From Hill in Pattaya Area

Banglamung –

An intoxicated motorbike rider has sustained injuries after he fell down from a hill in Banglamung.

Rescue workers were notified of the accident at 9:20 P.M. on Friday (September 27th) at the Chalerm Phrakiet Khao Phra Yai Public Park in Nongprue. They and the Pattaya News arrived at the scene. A motorbike was found on the road side. The rider, who was later identified as Mr. Wut, 35, was found ten meters away from the road down the hill. He was holding onto a tree.

A rescue worker tied himself with ropes before dropping down to help the rider and pulling him up from the hill. He sustained only minor injuries and said thank you to the rescue workers.

Mr. Wut told the Pattaya News that his motorbike only has a front brake working currently. The road was too slippery and he also admitted that he was drunk. When he tried to slow down his motorbike, he failed before falling down the hill. He tried to shout for help but no one was there. Luckily, he had a mobile phone with him that he used to call rescue workers.

It was not immediately clear if he would face any legal charges for admitting that he was driving drunk.
