A speeding sedan lost control, toppled over a palm tree, and overturned on a median in Pattaya, leaving the driver with minor injuries.
At 2:30 AM on September 22nd, the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Center received a report of a car accident near the Khao Talo traffic light intersection in the Nongprue sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province. Rescue volunteers immediately went to the scene.
There, a white Honda Civic was found overturned on its side on the median. The vehicle had crashed into a large road signpost and a palm tree, sustaining significant damage. The driver, 36-year-old Mr. Chayapat Nuchthongkham, sustained minor injuries. Rescue workers provided first aid before transporting him to the hospital.
Eyewitnesses told police that they saw the sedan speeding alongside a pickup truck when a motorcycle suddenly crossed into its lane, causing the sedan to lose control and overturn onto the median.
Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage to determine the exact cause, and the driver may be required to compensate for the damages.
