Chonburi —
At 9:30 AM on September 21st, 2024, Najomtien police received a Possible murder report in a village located in Najomtien, Sattahip District, Chonburi.
Officers reportedly discovered a large pool of blood in the living room, along with a sharp kitchen knife lying in it. Bloodstains indicated the body had been dragged into the bedroom, where they found the victim lying on the bed, appearing to be asleep, with a deep slash across the neck.
In the kitchen, police noticed signs that blood had been washed away. Officers suspected the perpetrator escaped through the back of the house. The victim was publicly identified only as 24-year-old Anucha.
A neighbor reported smelling blood around 10 PM on September 20th but did not think much of it until the odor intensified the next morning. The neighbor then reportedly alerted security, who, after seeing blood through a window, immediately called the police.
Anucha’s father, Wichai, 60, arrived at the scene in tears and revealed that his son was a quiet person with few friends.
Police and forensic officers gathered evidence from the scene to investigate the cause of death. Anucha’s body has been sent to the Police General Hospital in Bangkok for an autopsy. They are currently reviewing CCTV footage and questioning witnesses, including the victim’s close friends.
