National —

At 9:20 AM on September 17th, 2024, Pol. Col. Tawee Sodsong, the Minister of Justice, discussed comments made by Chusak Sirinin, the Minister attached to the Prime Minister’s Office, stating that all coalition parties support amending the constitution, particularly on ethics standards and evident integrity.

Pol. Col. Tawee, leader of the Prachachat Party, highlighted that the current constitutional interpretation is too broad, and his party has already campaigned on the need for constitutional reform.

He emphasized the importance of creating a Constitution Drafting Assembly of Thailand (CDA) and holding a referendum to address power decentralization, welfare issues, and reconsidering provisions related to public rights and freedoms. The party also seeks to amend articles granting excessive power to independent bodies.
