Pattaya —
A group of Thai teenagers were attacked by armed youths in a park in Pattaya, leaving two youths injured.
At 12:06 AM on September 18th, 2024, the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Center received a report of an assault on a group of teenagers at Ban Thung Klom Tan Man Park in the Pattaya area. The rescue team coordinated with Nongprue Police and The Pattaya News team and rushed to the scene.
There, they found a group of teenagers, aged around 15-18 years, visibly shaken and in tears. Two individuals had sustained injuries, including facial swelling and bruises on their bodies. The rescue team provided first aid before transporting the injured to a local hospital. The attackers had fled the scene before authorities arrived. Meanwhile, bystanders in the park were left terrified by the incident.
Eyewitnesses stated that the injured teenagers were sitting and chatting when a group of 8-10 youths, riding motorcycles and armed with knives, suddenly arrived. The assailants then charged at the victims, accusing them of throwing a bomb at their house, and began attacking the victims. Frightened locals in the area quickly fled to safety and reported the incident to the authorities.
One of the victims claimed to police that they had no idea why they were attacked, as they allegedly had no prior conflicts with the assailants. The victims plan to file a formal complaint against the attackers.
Nongprue police are actively gathering evidence from witnesses and CCTV footage to track down the culprits and pursue legal action.
