Pattaya Muay Thai Instructor Drowns After Plunging Motorbike into Sri Racha Canal

A Muay Thai instructor in Pattaya tragically drowned after his motorcycle plunged into a canal in the Sri Racha district.

On September 15th, Nong Kham police were notified of a deceased body found in a public canal along Highway 331, in front of the Caltex gas station in the Nong Kham sub-district, Sri Racha district, Chonburi province. Police immediately went to investigate, along with the local rescue teams.

According to rescue workers, the deceased was a middle-aged Muay Thai instructor from Pattaya. Around 11:10 PM on September 14th, he reportedly plunged into a roadside canal by accident while attempting to start his motorcycle. The current then swept him into a drainage pipe, where he disappeared.

Rescue workers were unable to locate the victim until his body was found the next day. He was identified as Mr. Nikhom Sirithammachak, 49. His body was retrieved from the canal and transferred to a local hospital for future religious rites.

According to a friend of the deceased, Mr. Nikhom had just finished work and was on his way home.
