Shane Overcomes Challenges to Win 4th Place in South Korea!

Pattaya City, Thailand —

Thanawat “Shane” Promwaen scored an impressive 4th place finish at the prestigious International Super Cup Kiteboarding Championship in Jeju Island, South Korea! Despite being the youngest competitor in the professional men’s category, Shane has become a rising star with a dream to represent Thailand in the youth Olympics.

However, the event at Jeju Island, South Korea, was not without its challenges. Unfavourable weather conditions caused the competition to be cut short, with just four races held out of the planned ten. But despite this, Shane’s adaptability and resilience combined with his early points scoring, enabled him to shine through the adversity.

Shane’s achievement is not only a personal milestone but also a source of immense pride for his family, supporters, and the Thai kiteboarding community. His journey in South Korea is just one step in his ambitious path toward greater success.

Upon returning to Thailand this week, Shane will immediately return to his training in preparation for his next major event—the Formula Kite and TT Open Asian Championships in Daishan, China next week!
