Pattaya —
Ganesh Chaturthi, the festival celebrating the birth of Lord Ganesha, took place at the Kali Temple in Pattaya today, September 10th, 2024.
Devotees believe that on this day, Lord Ganesha descends to Earth to bless and bring good fortune to humanity. The festival is held once a year and attracts both Thai and foreign worshipers.
Mr. Phakhin Methayapha, the temple administrator, shared that after managing the temple for 16 years, he has faced many challenges but continues to organize the festival each year due to his dedication and the support of worshipers.
This year’s event featured a procession of a Lord Ganesha statue around the temple, followed by Hindu rituals. In the evening, the ceremonies included fire worship and prayers, with many attendees participating throughout the day.
