Pattaya City, September 8th, 2024–In a big step towards improving healthcare access for night workers, Mr. Poramese Ngampiches, Mayor of Pattaya City, inaugurated the Proactive Health Promotion Project for Night Workers.

The event, held at Leela Club on Walking Street, saw the participation of key city executives, including Ms. Nathamon Ajsong, Chairwoman of the Pattaya City Transformation Leaders, and Dr. Atthaporn Limpanyalert, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Health Security Office (NHSO).

The project, a collaborative effort between Pattaya City and the NHSO, aims to provide essential health promotion and prevention services to night workers from September 8th, 2024, to December 20th, 2024. Over the course of four months, the initiative will reach various locations throughout Pattaya City, targeting at least 5,000 individuals.Ms. Ajsong outlined the project’s objectives, noting the importance of increasing healthcare accessibility for night workers who often struggle to access medical services during regular hours. The project includes cervical cancer screenings with self-test kits, which significantly reduces the need for hospital visits.

Dr. Limpanyalert highlighted the project’s alignment with the “Better Pattaya” policy, which focuses on sustainable tourism development. By involving network partners from the government, public, and private sectors, the initiative represents a comprehensive approach to enhancing public health in Pattaya.
