Pattaya City has introduced new routes for the upcoming LOMA (Dolphin in Thai) RUN On The Beach 2024 to ensure runner safety and minimize disruption to road users.
According to the announcement, the event will start and finish at Dongtan Beach, Jomtien, with the following race options:
5 km Fun Run
- Total runners: 650
- Start time: 5:45 AM
- Route: Runners will start at Dongtan Beach, follow Jomtien Road Soi 1, turn left at Matchanu Intersection, and run along Thappraya Road and Phratamnak Road. The route will take them down Soi Phratamnak 6 to Phratamnak Beach before heading back to the finish line at Dongtan Beach. The course includes a 3.5 km road run and 1.4 km beach run.
10.5 km Mini Marathon
- Total runners: 1,400
- Start time: 5:30 AM
- Route: The race will start at Dongtan Beach, head along Jomtien Road Soi 1, turn right at Matchanu Intersection, and continue along Jomtien Second Road. After making a U-turn before Chaiyapruek Intersection, runners will follow Thappraya-Phratamnak Road, turning left into Soi Phratamnak 6, and finish at Dongtan Beach. The course includes 9.5 km on the road and 1.4 km on the beach.
The BIB and shirt collection for the event will take place on Saturday, September 21st, 2024, from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM at the Jomtien Palm Beach Hotel. The race itself is scheduled for Sunday, September 22nd, 2024, from 4:00 AM to 9:00 AM at Dongtan, Jomtien Beach, Pattaya.
