Pattaya–
The Chakravartin Temple, in collaboration with Pattaya entertainment business operators and sponsors, recently hosted a charity event for the students and teachers of the Ban Khlong Takhro School from Phetchabun Province.
Held at the Chakravartin Temple on Soi Kasetsin near Pratumnak Hill, the event was led by Ms. Amporn Kaewsaeng, the temple’s founder, and Ms. Rakphong Sutidechanai, a member of the Red Cross from the Banglamung District. They, along with local business operators and sponsors, provided a delicious lunch for 40 students and teachers who were on a study trip in the Pattaya area. Each child received 500 baht in pocket money, and a total of 40,000 baht in scholarships was donated to the Ban Khlong Takhro School, with Ms. Wilaiporn Yimyao, the school director, accepting the donation.
Before lunch, the students and teachers paid their respects at the temple seeking blessings for good fortune. The lunch menu was a hit, featuring a variety of dishes like pizza with various toppings, somtam, pork noodle soup, ice cream, donuts, popsicles, snacks, and drinks.
Mrs. Amporn shared that Ban Khlong Takhro School, located in Phetchabun, is where she also studied as a child. She noted that it is a small village boarding school with many children from poor families, whose parents work as mostly farmers. Mrs. Amporn also mentioned plans to donate school uniforms, sports uniforms, and school supplies to the children in the future.
