On September 2nd, 2024, the Governor of Chonburi, Mr. Thawatchai Srithong, and Ms. Prapassara Srithong, President of the Chonburi Red Cross Society, brought some much-needed cheer to Banglamung District near Pattaya at an event at the community hall of the Banglamung District Office.
The day kicked off with a ceremony to launch a project aimed at helping the poor, elderly, and disabled in the Pattaya area. This project is part of an overall 2024 plan and includes a special program to hand out wheelchairs and essential equipment to those in need.
Mr. Wikit Manarojkit, Banglamung District Chief and Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Banglamung Red Cross Branch, shared that the Chonburi Red Cross Society provided 200 sets of relief bags and financial assistance to those most in need around Pattaya.
Besides the relief bags, the project also focused on giving out well-needed equipment to 35 individuals in Chonburi Province. This included 15 wheelchairs, 8 canes, and 12 air mattresses, all aimed at making life a bit easier for the elderly, the disabled, and poor patients.
